Did you know Canberra is the aboriginal word for ‘Meeting place’? I found this quite fitting considering. It may surprise you just how many attractions there are in such a small city as our Nations Capital. According to Trip Advisor, there is ‘143 things to do’ in Canberra. Narrowing it down, Canberra’s Visitor Information Centre can provide you with a very handy map and on the back it lists a number of Attractions each with its own coloured number as ease of reference to find on the map. With 35 ‘free’ activities and another 18 ‘admission charge’ attractions, you may find it hard to decide what to do first. We managed to cover a lot of ground on our 5 day trip. From the NASA Space Station, Cotter Reserve, the National Dinosaur Museum, the Australian Mint, Black Mountain/Telstra Tower, Questacon, a cruise down Lake Burley Griffin, the Arboretum and of course the Australian War Memorial. All entertaining yet so different. I hope you enjoy reading my reviews on each of these attractions over the coming days. I would love to hear your experiences if you have been or if you’re now planning to visit.
